Current Projects
Circular Economy
The Circular Economy initiative explores emerging models for locally grounded energy and resource systems.
The work links circular-economy innovation and local development through collaboration with industry, Indigenous communities, and research institutions.
Knowledge products and stakeholder discussions will inform next-stage investment, learning, and partnership development.
Climate Changemakers
The Climate Changemaker Leadership Training Program equips young leaders with practical skills to advance community-led climate action and inclusive local planning. Led by the BCIT Centre for Ecocities the programme strengthens youth capacity to design, implement, and sustain regenerative solutions rooted in local realities. It supports youth to engage effectively with institutions, contribute to decision-making, and translate climate knowledge into action.
Regenerative Living Soils Project
Building on long-standing food systems practice, the Regenerative Living Soils Project advances soil-centred approaches that treat soils as living systems. The work aligns biology, testing, and governance through partnerships that support climate-ready pilots, learning, and adoption of regenerative soil practices across agricultural contexts nationally.
Capacity Building for Grassroots Organizations
Community-led initiatives are advancing climate resilience, food sovereignty and social justice – but many face the same barrier: sustained, flexible funding. Turning Tides is building a curated platform that amplifies grassroots work and connects initiatives using existing web based. The aim is to shift from one-time campaigns to steady, relationship-based support that strengthens accountability, and long-term impact.
