Doug Ragan
Board Member
An expert in community-led development, Doug has over three decades of experience advancing youth-driven and systems-based approaches to resilience both in Canada and globally. Doug worked with the United Nations in Nairobi, Kenya for 15 years, leading initiatives which localize sustainability and provide livelihoods for the most vulnerable in the developed and developing world. Doug currently is completing his PhD in Carleton University focused on youth organizing in informal settlements and slums.

Dr. Jennie Moore
Board Member
Former Director of the BCIT Centre for Ecocities, Jennie Moore is an internationally recognized leader in sustainable-city transitions and ecological-footprint analysis. Her work with UN-Habitat and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature has shaped international frameworks for urban sustainability, energy transition, and climate metrics.

Karun Koernig
Board Member
An international development strategist and cultural-program director, Karun Koernig serves as COO of the Water is Right Foundation (Germany). He brings over twenty years of experience linking environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and creative leadership. His expertise supports Turning Tides’ work on water and sanitation, decentralized energy, and climate-resilient communities.

Linda Geggie
Board Member
A leader in food-system transformation, Linda Geggie has guided multi-sector networks to advance equitable, sustainable food and agriculture systems across British Columbia. As Executive Director of CRFAIR, she has built regional partnerships and enterprises that model collaborative governance and community-driven innovation. She contributes deep experience in network design, equity, and policy alignment.

Dr. Cherie Enns
Senior Associate
An urban planner and professor at the University of the Fraser Valley, Cherie Enns specializes in sustainable community planning and child- and youth-friendly cities. Her expertise strengthens Turning Tides’ academic partnerships and education initiatives, including micro-credential development and research collaboration.

Phil Ragan
Board Member
Entrepreneur and design strategist, Phil Ragan leads the Hydrogen and Circular Economy Initiative. He brings experience in technology development, communications, and environmental design, contributing a systems-innovation perspective to Turning Tides’ emerging work on energy and infrastructure transition.
